Amtrak expansion from Chicago to Bloomington, Springfield, St. Louis

The Illinios General Assembly is working to fund the biggest Amtrak expansion in Illinois in years, featuring the Abe Lincoln Express that would add two more round-trips between Chicago and St. Louis with stops in Bloomington-Normal, Joliet, Springfield, Alton and smaller cities along the way.
